Little Big Planet's story is that one Creator of said planet (known as The Collector) is kidnapping the other Creators and not sharing them with the world - sharing being a VERY big point in Little Big Planet. The player then travels the world to aid the Creators and learn new skills to help take down the Collector and his minions. This ends when the player defeats him and is told he kidnapped the others due to being lonely and without friends. The Creators and the player offer to be friends, ending his evil.
Little Big Planet 2 carries on after the events of the first game, where a giant vaccuum known as the Negativitron is sucking up all the inhabitants of Craftworld (the name of the planet). The Player again travels the world to aid the remaining inhabitants, learning about new upgrades along the way (such as the Grabinators which allow the player to pick up and throw objects (and each other as I found out with my roommate at one point!)) Upon battling and defeating the Negativitron, the inhabitants rejoice and all head home.
- Little Big Planet (Oct '08) and Little Big Planet 2 (Jan '11) were both created by Media Molecule
- Both games feature the Sackboy as the main character or characters if 2 or more players are playing.
- Gameplay can be co op or competitive, although co op is preferred to make it to the end of each level.
- Players collect stickers, clothing, music, items and more which can be used to create their own levels and worlds.
- The games were released as PlayStation exclusives
- Sackboy was included in the game Playstation All Stars Battle Royale
I own both Little Big Planet and Little Big Planet 2 and I have also played Playstation All Stars Battle Royale a few times (but do not own a copy).
Although this may not be a lot to go on now, it's a start and I may find and discover information that will help.
